"Until Death and Back Again"   This will be the next big horror movie, Jack Mills... all the story needs is a gentle shove in the right direction. Currently, it is available on Kindle books.... written by L. MacLelllan Enjoy this little bite:   Milwaukee Wisconsin October 19, 1998 It was a cool breezy night. Jack Mills and Maisie Bennett were leaving the grocery store. They both had their hands full with two grocery bags each. Maisie was a little unsteady due to the fact that she was six months pregnant.  Maisie was carrying all the light items (bread, chips) except for the glass jar of honey. They were both in a wonderful mood. Every day was a celebration of their love and the excitement over the baby. Jack has known Maisie since high school. It was love at first sight for him. Jack has evolved his entire life around her. Maisie was his reason for everything. Jack has been on cloud nine ever since finding out about Maisie being pregnant.  Maisie wanted to wait to get married until after the baby was born. Her rational behind it, “I will be less hormonal”. The grocery store was a small local establishment downtown Milwaukee Wisconsin. Jack and Maisie rented a small one bedroom apartment across the street on Juneau. The area was full of life during the day because it primarily a business district. At night, it was bit quieter despite a few bars and restaurants. Jack and Maisie were cheerful as left the store. Jack teasing Maisie about all the odd cravings she has been having lately. “What else are you craving? Do we need to go back and buy some pickles”, Jack teased. “No, I will want to ask you once you fall asleep”, Maisie smiled.  As they entered the parking lot, they encountered three young men. Jack and Maisie were attempting to walk past the three men so they could cross the street to their apartment when one of the men threw a bottle at jack’s head.  The bottle missed him.                 “Where do you think you are going?” One of the young men yelled at Jack.                 Jack calmly ignored him. Jack was a tall man medium build with short black hair and blue eyes. He was wearing a white dress shirt with no tie and the sleeves rolled up. Jack was always teased about wearing brown hiking boots with his blue jeans. Jack always did what made him happy.  Jack was never known for having a temper but he was very protective over his Maisie.                 “Where do you think you are going?” The young blond man yelled again at Jack.                 “We don’t want any trouble.” Jack calmly stated to the man. Maisie stood behind him, she was terrified.  She was shaking. She was an average build woman with long brown hair that was pulled back. She was pretty but not of model making material. Maisie was a goddess in jack’s eyes and that’s all that mattered. “Well, I don’t know about that.” The man said as the other two guys started to walk behind Jack and Maisie. Jack pulled out his wallet and tried to hand it to the blond man. “We don’t want any trouble.” Jack repeated. The blond man looked at the wallet and started to laugh. “I don’t want your money” he said. The blond man walked right up to Jack and knocked it out of his hands. The blond man was tall and stocky. He had lots of various tattoos on his arms and one large one on his neck of a spider. “I don’t want your money. I want you to fear me. “The blond man started to laugh again.   The other two men knocked the grocery bags out of Maisie’s hands. The glass of honey fell to the ground and shattered everywhere. The honey made the ground very sticky. Maisie started to scream.                 Jack started to plead with the blond man to leave them alone.                 The blond man laughed again as the two other men grabbed Jack from behind and held a revolver to his head. Maisie was frozen in fear as the blond man walked up to her. Jason was his name. He grabbed Maisie by the hair and pulled her close to him. Jason pulled out a hunting knife and held it to her cheek.                 Jack continued to plead with Jason. Maisie was tearful but didn’t say a word.                 “I don’t care. Let us call these random acts of violence. You tell me.” Jason said as moved the knife around Maisie’s face and cutting her in various places. Blood trickled onto the knife mixing with her tears. Maisie’s blue eyes met with Jack’s eyes as she cried, “Jack, Jack, I love you Jack.”  It was immediately after she said those words, that Jason drove the eight inch hunting knife into her abdomen. Blood started to pour through her blue shirt. Maisie’s automatic response was to grab her pregnant belly. Once her body went limp, Jason took the blade out. The blade then slowly slit her throat as her body fell to the ground. Maisie was gasping for air and spitting up blood. Her hands remained over her belly as Jason then let Maisie’s body fall to the ground. Jack screamed out. Once Maisie’s body was on the ground, Jason started to rip her clothes off.  Maisie was gagging on her own blood as she struggled for air. Jack stood there helplessly as he watched her struggle to live. The other two men were Michael and Ted who continued to hold Jack tight with the revolver firmly placed against his head. Jack watched in fury as he saw Jason sexually assault Maisie’s blood soaked body with a stick he found on the ground after he stabbed her. Jack just stood there and watched. He couldn’t do anything to save his Maisie. His world ended when he saw Maisie gasp for air the last time. Jason continued to assault Maisie’s dead body with the stick and then again with his hunting knife. He continued to cut into skin and cutting off various body parts. At one point, her fetus was expelled from her dead body.  Maisie’s body was drowning in her own blood and mixing with the honey that was shattered on the ground. The moon was full with no clouds in the sky and it looked like Maisie’s blood was glowing under the light. Jack thought that even in death she looked like an angel. Jack lost everything. Jason walked up to Jack with a disappointed smile. “Maybe she could have lasted longer if she wasn’t pregnant.” Jason then took the same hunting knife that he used to kill Maisie to stab Jack in the abdomen. Jack fell to his knees. He looked straight up at Jason and said, “One day I will be back to avenge my Maisie’s death. I want you and all those who stand in my path to fear me for I am jack Mills.” Jason looked at Jack and laughed as he stabbed him in the throat. “I don’t think so dead man.”                 Jason withdrew the blade from Jack’s throat and wiped the blood off of it with his blood stained shirt. Jack’s body fell to the ground like a rag doll.                 Jason felt re-born that night. He felt like his was the king of the world.                 Michael and Ted just stood there holding Jack as Jason murdered Maisie and her unborn child. Not once did Michael or Ted try to stop Jason.                  “We need to get out of here fast” Ted said nervously.                 “What about hiding our traces or anything like that,” Michael asked.                 “No worries, “Jason laughed. “I have it covered. “   Read More ›
